The International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) has formed the Global Communication Certification Council (GCCC®) to offer certification at various levels and to promote a common, global understanding of what constitutes professionalism and competence in communication.
The certification program is designed around ISO (17024), an international standard for professional certifications that is recognized globally. IABC is now the only communications organization to receive accreditation under the specific ANSI/ISO17024 standard for practitioners.
IABC Hong Kong is delighted to offer our first GCCC certification examination in Hong Kong on January 30, 2021.
The certification program is open to both IABC Members and Non-Members.

STEPS for Certification
Please email any questions about certification to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
Certification is time-bound. A professional is, in the view of the GCCC® , defined by a commitment to keep up to date with current practice and to contribute to the body of knowledge and the development of other professionals. Renewing certification is contingent on a holder committing to and undertaking continuing professional development.
Certificate holders must demonstrate that any training or course of study undertaken is relevant and appropriate. As a guide, the GCCC® will favor training programs or other course of study that have been organized by:
- •An accredited university or institution OR
- •An internal training department OR
- •A commercial organization recognized by IABC
